Next Level -> Next Step
What should you expect?
Our first question: Beginning with the end in mind, where are you now and where would you like to be? Where do you need to be? As your partner, recommendations will be made based on your goals.
Research shows that those who work together to ensure knowledge transforms into action - and back to the workplace - experience greater success. As partners, let’s discuss potential ‘baselines’, metrics, and other specifics to keep track of where we are, and where we are going. When things change, we can celebrate together.
How do we get the job done? Consulting leaders, coaching managers, providing online and in-person sessions, and serving as a resource for future change.
How do we begin?
1. By engaging with your highest-level leaders. If your leaders do not carry the charge forward in this effort, you can’t effectively change the culture, turn raw talents into solid strengths, and transform behavior.
2. Second step? Provide every employee the opportunity to develop substantial habits and discover their strengths.
3. Third step? Rely on strengths coaches – whether you build an internal network or use ours - managers will need practical insights in order to integrate these habits into performance management.
4. Finally, rethink current programs. Instead of focusing on improving weaknesses, focus on what’s right in a person. Focus on strengths. Focus on habits. Focus on empowering leadership that challenges, inspires, and rewards the future.

Under the hood
Have you ever attended an educational session and:
Nodded off?
Caught up on work &/or social media?
Left wondering: What was the point?
Adult learners need to be actively engaged and treated as adults. Each brings their own experiences, viewpoints, and leadership to the table. INCLUSION is key!
Interactivity: Whether working with groups of 5 or 5,000, our sessions are filled with fast-paced interactivity. We ask adults to take the challenge and potentially get uncomfortable by meeting others, sharing their viewpoints, and being responsible for their own learning. Some classes require learning partners when material is difficult or when “common sense is not common practice.”
PowerPoints: By default, we steer clear from the monotony of templated, 1000-words on a page PowerPoints. Instead, presentations are created to be as visual as possible in order to maintain the attention of today’s learner.
Music: Research shows music can enhance learning when utilized appropriately. Upbeat pre-class/intro music, classical or transitional music and up-beat post-class music is commonly used.
Atmosphere Matters: Whether colorful paper, markers or small trinkets are on tables, the adult learning atmosphere needs to be comfortable (not stressful or stuffy) in order for us to build trust. Food is encouraged to satisfy hunger so professionals can better focus.
Materials Matter: Adults learn better and retain more when they write things down. The human brain does a better job of retaining concepts or content when it ‘fills in a blank’, brainstorms on paper, matches terms, or doodles.
For PhDs in Adult Learning: We take a principle-centered stance and subscribe to and believe in ADDIE and SAM methodologies, the work of Alheit, Bierema, Clark, Cooperrider, Hodell, Gagne´, Jarvis, Kirkpatrick, Knowles, Kolb, Merriam, Mezirow, Phillips, Silberman, Thalheimer, Vella, and other experts in adult learning, instructional design and evaluation.
And just like that, we are at the end of our ‘About Us’ so how about we now focus on you? Contact us to arrange our first conversation.
